Just a quick report on Saturdays race at Holmes Chapel.

I arrived at the race today having had a 3 week lay off with getting married and a 2 week hol in Gran Canaria.

The course was the sporting J2/9 in Cheshire with parts of the course on par with the Paris Roubaix.

I rode round in a disapointing 1hr 7mins which is well down on my pre-holiday rides of 00's and 2's but I am riding this course for the next few weeks (does anyone fancy a 2up 25mtt. on this course in a couple of weeks?). Amazing what a lay off can do I did not record the winner as I had to leave early.
