Golden's Oldies Vets Road Race

On Sunday, just before Iwent on my summer holiday in Mal's caravan, Myself Mal and Mike Jones travelled to Congleton to ride in Jim Goldens LVRC road race.

It was a very hot but windy day the race started steady with not much being allowed to get away. Mal was the first Deeside rider to get in the action braking away with five other riders but losing contact over the rolling part of the circuit, leaving three riders out in front. The three riders were then joined by myself and five other riders.

As the race got closer to the finish there were only five of us remaining, with the up hill sprint approaching.
