Cheshire 14 TLI Road Race Series

At last, the final Worleston circuit race of this year. I hate that bloody hill, and you have to go up it three times. The usual suspects were present this week so I thought I would try and have a nice easy ride, which I did.

Keith went off from the start, well, before the start to be honest. He rode off in the null section before we reached the course and was never seen again, until the finish! Apparently, he did two and a half laps with another rider, dropped him on the last climb and rode to the finish by himself. A nice bit of extra cash for his holidays. The rest of us in our group just made sure he stayed away, although no-one really looked as if they were bothered about catching him.

Mal did the majority of the chasing down while I had a well deserved rest. I did chase the last break down to bring the bunch back together for the sprint but that was about all I did.

Scottie got an excellent second, behind Keith, in the over forties with the rest of us all well placed in the main bunch.
