Anfield BC 25 Mile Time Trial

Myself Tim Carson and Steve Thompson rode the above event at Prees on Sunday.

After last weeks suffering I was not looking forward to it! The weather, again, was dry with only a slight headwind out to Battlefield island.

I was last man off, having won the event for the last 2 years. This week I felt a lot better during my warmup so was hopeful of a good ride, which materialised with me turning in a winning time of 57.01, some 2.44 faster than the second placed rider, Neal Peart of the Wallsall CC.

Tim Carson finished with a time of 1.07.35 and Steve Thompson clocked a 1.10.38.

Next Sunday sees myself and Keith riding the Birkenhead Victoria 2up with some stiff opposition coming in the form of Roger Iddles and Gavin Pardoe. M Jone/M Ridgeway and I Edwards/S Thompson also represent Deeside Olympic/Veeboard.
