Plan B Racing Road Race

Steve Lloyd, John Skates and myself rode the Plan B RR at Utoxeter on Sunday, April 3rd. The race was on a typical East Midlands circuit, with twisty, grippy lanes and fast wide main rode sections.

Steve made the first break soon after the start, which was then joined by another group containing John. I bridged across to the break after about 10 miles. The group of 13 of us then rode together, for the next 40 miles, building a substantial lead over the rest of the race.

On the last lap the three of us made sure we had all attacks covered, but the group was all together at the bottom of the 1km climb to the finish. Unfortunately our numerical advantage was no benefit on the steep climb to the finish. Steve finished 4th, I got 8th and John finished 11th
