After some heavy overnight rain and thunderstorms conditions had somewhat improved and the event was ran in overcast but dry conditions with a brisk southerly breeze. The course was based on the A41 starting by Handley with the turn at Prees island (15.5 mile) then returning to finish just short of Handley.

I reached Prees island in just over 39 minutes thanks to the brisk southerly breeze! on the return leg i actually found i could of done with an 11 sprocket in places. In the end i clocked 1.07.49 for the 30 miles which was good enough for the win with a margin of over 2 minutes.
