TLI Champs

The chance to race back home near where I rode my first race thirty five years ago was a chance that I could not miss.

The race was in the handbook as flat and I was told that this was the flattest race that the promoter had put on this year. All I can say was I wouldn't like to ride his others! Dropped first, second and third time up the climb but easily slipped back on to the lead group. Fourth time I stayed on and so the race came down to a sprint. I followed the wrong wheel and got trapped long enough for Callum Goff to get a gap, I was catching quickly but... another second place. Mark Jones rode the Under 40 race but did not enjoy the circuit.

John The Baker rode the over 50 event and finished well. Good one John
